Hectorite and Hydroxyethylcellulose - Hectorite, Hydroxyethylcellulose - 50g
Hectorite and Hydroxyethylcellulose Flower Tales is a rheological additive (gelling agent) derived from the combination of Hectorite, a rare clay mined in the Altas Mountains in Morocco, and hydroxyethylcellulose, a compound derived from cellulose with thickening and gelling properties. It is added to the water phase to create a thick gel and it gives viscosity and stability to W/O and O/W emulsions. It is very efficient even at small doses andis compatible with both ionic and non ionic wetting agents. It imparts thixotropy to emulsions, that is the viscosity is reduced if the end product is shaken, becoming almost liquid, only to revert to a more viscous state when left undisturbed.
Solubility: Water soluble. Temperatures above 35,C will accelerate dispersion.
DOSAGE: 0.1 – 1%. Add to just water, pH 7-8. Stable in emulsions over a range pH 3-11.
