Ecobio Guard – Benzyl Alcohol and Dehydroacetic Acid – 100ml

Flower Tales Ecobio Guard is a ready-made preservative mixture of Benzyl Alcohol and Sodium Dehydroacetate. It has antibacterial and antifungal properties against yeasts, molds, fungi and Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

DOSAGE:

0.2 – 1% (0.6% recommended) in Phase C once the emulsion is cold
Active in emulsions with pH of 6 or less
Soluble in water. Highly soluble in polar organic solvents.
Incompatible with non-ionic surfactants or non-ionic emulsions

HOW TO USE:

Flower Tales Ecobio Guard should be added in Phase C once the emulsion is cold

ESEMPLE OF HOW TO USE AS A PRESERVATIVE:

Long shelf life cream: 1% Ecobio Guard in Phase C or 0.2% of Potassium Sorbate in Phase A (Water) + 0.5% Ecobio Guard in Phase C once the emulsion is cold.
Creams pH 6: 0.6%
Shower gels or liquid handwashes: 0.6-0.8%
Shampoos: 0.8-1%
Hair Conditioners: 0.5%

Use within 3 months (pH 6 or less)

No aerosols
Do not exceed recommended maximum dosage (1%)

Contains Benzyl Alcohol which is listed in the European directive 2003/15/CEE as one of 26 cosmetic allergens.
